A new collaboration

June 14, 2024

Words by two poets, one in San Francisco and one in the city of Wells, UK.
Printed on recycled paper and card.
28 pages, 25 poems, three of which we wrote collaboratively by email.
(The exchange continues!)
12 images created in botanical dyes by Ama Bolton.
Hand-stitched, numbered, open edition.
Available from overlandbooks@earthlink.net (USA)  at $15,
and from barleybooks@hotmail.co.uk (UK)  at £12.

Beau’s poem Terms#2, below, was published in the anthology Five on the Western Edge (Momo’s Press).
Nocturne was my response to it. This eighth draft was commended in a Magma competition and published in Magma #58. Not one line remains from the first draft. There were four changes of title. It has evolved out of all recognition. Is it the same poem? Yes. And no.

I’d like to buy a copy, but I’m not sure how. Can I send Beau a check in the post?

Dave, the book is in the post. A small thank you, firstly for all I’ve learned about the art and craft of writing in the many years I’ve been following Via Negativa, and secondly for your generosity in compiling the Digest every week and for including me in this international community of poets.
