Partial Eclipse

March 20, 2015

And from the Butt of Lewis …

Looking from the Shore

Partial Eclipse, Stoth, Ness Partial Eclipse, Stoth, Ness

The day dawned bright; blue skies and sunshine – again! Drove up to Stoth, a small cove near the Butt of Lewis, but even as I was leaving I could see dank, low, grey clouds of drizzle  rolling in off the Atlantic.

Just by chance, there was a tiny break in the cloud, and managed to get a photo of the start of the eclipse, (below). For the duration of that eerie dull silence, nothing; but just at the end the cloud broke some more for a better view. Ironically, since the end of the eclipse, the weather has been beautiful.
