Flying ... mostly

Flying … mostly

Click on the photo above to see Jane Paterson’s “Flying” – it did rather merge with the wall behind, but is well worth looking at in detail. Each bird is a double page soaring away from the binding.

Hail

Hail

Hail by Karen Young

Hail by Karen Young

The weather could not have been nicer. The roses were at their best.  Buff Beauty (not normally a climber) reached the top of the apple tree. There was live acoustic music.  Crowds of lovely people turned up and some of them bought stuff. What more could we ask? Thanks to my fellow book-artists and printmakers for a terrific show, and to all who came and supported us.

ABCD members will now be scattering far and wide to seek inspiration for our October meeting when the word is “Unexpected”.
