Solstice fire 3

My winter-solstice poem, Ceremony, was runner-up in the Charnwood Mini-words competition in 2008, and was performed by Opus Anglicanum in their programme Figgy Pudding in 2008 and 2010.

The photo was taken tonight by Mary Bolton. The scrap-metal fire-basket was welded together a few days ago by Gabriel Bolton and used tonight for the first time.

    excellent! I’ve been trying to write a Solstice poem today – got the first lines while out walking in the sunshine, nice iambic rhythm, but couldn’t progress it once home… had a great day yesterday, singing lustily…
