Voices in the City 2013

February 27, 2013

On Friday 1st March, the first day of the Bath Festival of Literature, there will be a free-access day of poetry, organised by the Bath Poetry Cafe, in the Central Library (upstairs from Waitrose)  from 11am to 4pm. The Wells Fountain Poets will be represented by Rachael Clyne, Sara Butler, David Cloke and me. Our half-hour slot, entitled Food Matters, will be from 12.20 to 12.50 precisely! Weeks of rehearsal have gone into this split-second timing, so if you’re in Bath on Friday please come along and make it worth our while! School dinners, the aftermath of a funeral feast, the dyspeptic politics of family meals, nature red in tooth and claw, the agonising wait for a date who’s late … it’s not all ice-cream and jelly!
